From research and development to production or quality control, the engineers in chemistry can apply their skills to creating and developing molecules, materials, innovative and non-polluting processes not only for the chemical industries but also the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, electronics industries.
Their wide range of activities also reaches the sectors of space, energy, automobile and transports. They can even make a career in the sectors of industrial property, human resources, management.
It's av ery selective, merit-based recruitment (National competitive examination), it provides students with skills allowing them to work in the fields of Fine Organic Chemistry and Health Science, Chemistry of Materials, Environment and Sustainable Development.
The curriculum is based on academic studies alternating with placements in industry at the end of each year, during the vacation period. Possibility of a full sandwich-year in industry between the 4th and 5th academic years (12 - 24 months of industrial placements over the curriculum).
A majority of placements are carried out abroad as a stay abroad of at least 3 months (either academic or industrial) is compulsory for all students during the course of their studies.
